Baldric

Description

On a dark blue field, edged on each side with gold trim, and beneath a white flowing tri-parted scroll with red piping bearing the inscription, “63D ARMY BAND” in blue, a representation of the New Jersey Army National Guard insignia edged in gold. Between two drumsticks five slanted World War II campaign credit streamers inscribed in gold: NORMANDY, NORTHERN FRANCE, RHINELAND, ARDENNES-ALSACE, and CENTRAL EUROPE. At the base of the baldric a white torch enflamed red and yellow, entwined by a white flowing scroll with red piping, the upper scroll inscribed “SEA GIRT” and the lower “NEW JERSEY” in blue. The enflamed torch is adapted from the US Army School of Music emblem and also denotes Sea Girt, New Jersey as the long standing training center of the New Jersey Army National Guard.
